I'd wanted these for a long time and when they went on sale I grabbed a pair. The pair that showed up, which turned out to be the last in my size, were clearly, grossly irregular. I called Amazon for an exchange and that wasn't an option as they were out of stock. I called AE in hopes they'd simply exchange what was obviously defective for a pair that were 1st quality. AE insisted that the shoes had to go back to Amazon for exchange. So, I wound up returning them, which was a real heartbreaker, as with the exception of the manufacturing errors (uneven attachment of the two pieces of leather that hold the laces only on the left shoe...a good 3/4" off), they were great shoes. I will continue to look for another pair. |
