It really can't be used as a purse, because of the massive size and because, being natural as it is, it's a little rough to the touch. It doesn't hurt, but I'm sure it wouldn't feel very good against a bare shoulder. The inside is actually lined with this really nice, clear coating. I'm sure that helps it to hold up really well over time. It probably couldn't withstand a good washing (I did NOT try), but getting wet or being wiped down should do just fine. Honestly, it's really cute and the top green part velcros very nicely shut in the middle. I wasn't completely sure what I'd use it for when I first purchased it. But, it would be perfect for a beach bag. We STUFFED it with snacks, bathing suits, bottled water, towels and sunscreen and it held up perfectly to a picnic and then at the pool! It may even be able to last a while holding groceries or clothing for trips. But, the style (to me anyway) seems very much for trips to any bed of water.
It's very pretty. Looks just like in the photos. The arrival time was pretty good. |
